Terrarium Delivery

Q. Do you deliver outside of Auckland?

A. Yes. However unfortunately due to the nature of our pre-made terrariums (excuse the pun) they can only be delivered on a special fragile goods courier (they are the same type of courier that deliver fresh flowers). The good news is that it is a same day service and your terrarium will be well looked after before it arrives. If you would like to choose a gift from our selection that doesn’t include a pre-made terrarium then we can ship those on NZ POST outside of Auckland for you. Please choose the delivery option carefully. When you have put in the delivery postcode, you should be given the options at the checkout for delivery or collection.

Q. What days do you deliver?

A. This depends on whether your delivery is going on NZ post or our Florist courier service.

Florist courier service: We have 2 delivery runs each day (morning and afternoon) from Monday to Friday and just one delivery run on Saturdays, however all orders requested for Saturday delivery must be in by Thursday of the week you require delivery to be in. Please note that we do not deliver on Sundays with some exceptions (eg. Mother’s Day and other special occasions that fall on a Sunday on given year)

NZ post courier service: Dispatch is before 12pm Monday-Friday. If you get your order in before 10am theres a good chance we can make this deadline. This service is 1-2 days for North Island and 2-3 days for South Island. However sometimes there are delays with this service so these times are approximate and not guaranteed.

Q. Do you offer same day delivery?

A. Although we try our best to accommodate same day delivery (Auckland only), we are working with courier time frames and because all our products are made from scratch it really depends on how quickly you get your order to us. In short, same day deliveries (Auckland only) are not guaranteed but if you get them in as early in the day as possible we will do our best to get them on the courier in time for you.

Q. Do you do timed deliveries?

A. If you have a delivery going to a business then we will have it delivered before they close (just as long as your order comes in ahead of time), aside from that we do not guarantee timed deliveries, but will do our best to accommodate your request. If you need your order urgently we may be able to help. Give us a call and we will see how quickly we can get your terrarium made for you, then you can order an Uber to collect from us as an alternative to our courier.

Collection

Q. Do you have a store where I can come and browse your selection?

A. No. We make all our products fresh to order in our workshop. We don’t have a showroom, just our online shop and although you can’t browse through an actual store we do allow collection of your order from our workshop (by appointment)

Q. Where is your workshop located?

A. 2/14 Greenvalley Rise, Glenfield, Auckland 0629 (please call us first to let us know when your are coming so we can be sure to be here as sometimes we pop out on supply runs or deliveries)

Q. Do you frequent any Markets or pop ups?

A. Our favourite market is the General Collective lifestyle market and we attend this as often as we can (generally 3 times a year). Check the link above for the next market day. This event is located at the Greenlane showgrounds and is one not to be missed, it will blow your mind! We occasionally have pop up stores when a venue comes about and attend other markets when we have the time. Follow our facebook or Instagram accounts to stay up to date on information about this and more.

 Ordering a terrarium

Q. What is the difference between pastel and bright?

A. We try to always add images of both colour choices relating to each product. When you click the pastel or bright option a description will pop up explaning the difference. Generally our pastel coloured terrariums have white rocks with accent rocks in grey white or pink. We use plants of grey, pink or lilac, with shades of green. Our bright coloured terrariums come with brown rocks and accent rocks in black, brown or red. We use plants in red, orange, yellow or brown with shades of green. Bright coloured plants with white rocks is also an option that is becoming more popular. If you would like to go for this, please select the bright and ask for white rocks in the special instructions box.

Care Instructions

Q. How do I care for my terrarium?

A. The worst thing you can do for a succulent terrarium is to over water it. Buy a water spritzer to avoid over watering. Direct the spray on the soil around the plants, not on the plants directly. Succulents also thrive in a naturally well lit room, avoid direct sunlight as the glass will act like a magnifying glass and cook your plants. Succulents do however enjoy some direct sunlight (as it gives them their colour). 1-2 hours in the coolest part of the day is best. If you find your plants “stretching”, they are looking for more light- move them to a more naturally light space.

Q. My terrarium is a gift, how will the recipient know how to take care of it?

A. All our terrariums come with instructions on how to care for them. They are located on the reverse side of the tag attached to the rim of the terrarium. You’re welcome!

Q. How do I care for my dried flower arrangement?

A. Your arrangement comes with a care card included, however if you can locate it, please follow these guidelines: Keep your arrangement in a dry spot, avoid damp rooms like kitchens or bathrooms. Preserved/dried flowers don’t like humid conditions and can lead to them going mouldy, if the flowers do appear damp at any time, use a dehumidifier in the room or pop into a hot water cupboard for a few days to dry it out. Use a hairdryer on a cool setting to remove dust. You can give your arrangement a spray with hair spray every 6 months or so to stop flowers from dropping.

Wedding Flowers

Q. Do you do free consultations for weddings?

A. Yes. Consultations come be done via email, zoom online meetings or in person at our workshop in Glenfield at no charge. Consultations including mock ups can be done at your venue but will incur a fee to cover vehicle costs and travel time.

Q. Can you set up florals at my venue?

A. Yes. Depending on availability for your date, venue set ups, installations and floral styling is available at an hourly rate. This will be quoted to you after your consult once we know what is involved.

Q. Do you make artificial wedding flowers to order?

A. No, our main focus areas are terrariums dried flowers and fresh flowers for weddings (if only there were more hours in the day!). Our Artificial wedding sets have been made up specifically for hire purposes only. We may be able to construct ‘extras’ to match your wedding set such as archways etc. but they will be for hire also.

Q. Can you courier your artificial wedding flower sets across the country?

A. Yes. At your expense, however you will need to return them on your own courier and need to bear in mind that all our sets are loaned on a 5 day hire. So returning them as soon after your wedding as possible is required to allow other couples the chance to book them after you.
